E) Specialty Information

Gained through natural experience and growth, a Specialty is a particular thing that a character excels at because they have a passion for it that drives them to perfect it. Known for their specialty, all characters will eventually come to possess these traits or abilities that only they could have because of their exact composition. Unlike a Talent, different people could have the same Specialty, although they would have it for very different reasons. For example, a character well-versed in Math could have a specialty that allows him to solve codes easier, which is something that could be done all the same by a character with a Cipher-Cracking Specialty.

If Talents are gained from birth and are what makes up a character, a Specialty is gained after and is made up of your character. They can be thought of as 'Nature' and 'Nurture', as both are equally important in defining your character as a whole. Usually, specialties are mental in nature, operating on a meta plane more-so than directly within the universe. However, this is not a hard-set rule, and can come in the form of anything that the character could logically learn how to do.

By applying oneself continuously at their specialty, it is able to advance and evolve in order to better suit it's user. Depending on what rank a character is, they'll be able to start with a certain number of Specialties at a specific rank. If a character starts at the bottom level with a Special Growth Chart, they may have start with a maximum of 2 E Rank Specialties.

By spending the appropriate amount of XP, one can increase their Specialty's rank. One is not able to increase a specialty's rank above their own rank+1 (so a rank 2 character may only have rank 3 skills. Please note that these costs Do stack, and will require the full cost in order to rank up. XP cannot be put into a Specialty unless the entire cost of the level is put in at once. There is no limit on how many specialties can be learned after initial approval, so long as the applicant pays for them.

Specialty Name: What is this specialty called?
Specialty Rank: What rank is your specialty currently at?
Discovery: How did your character discover they possessed this specialty? How did they expand on it and increase their potency of it? Did they come across any secrets of the trade that let them rise above others in their field?
Flavor: What exactly happens when this specialty is put into play? This section is reserved for the story, lore, fluff, aka flavor. Make sure to include it evolving as it's ranked up, and what this means in term of gameplay.
Contributing Stats: Please list the stats used during clashes with this specialty, separated by a comma if more than one (Ex. Strength, Will)
Mechanics: What actual math happens when this Specialty goes into play? While it may use the Strength and Will stat, what does it do with them?
Downfalls: What are the downsides to using this specialty? Does it require an energy cost? A preparation period? Perhaps it has a cooldown time? Please make note of any weaknesses, drawbacks, and payment forms for the use of this talent.

Specialty Name: Rhythmic Memory

Discovery: After developing the ability to create an audible sound in conjunction with a rhythm, the user is able to increase their ability to remember things by using a rhythmic trigger to induce a more complete recall.

Flavor: Whenever the holder of this specialty needs to remember something, they must simply create a rhythm that is associated either with that particular memory, or a general 'remembering stuff' rhythm. This helps flesh out the memory and give the user a higher clarity of the picture.

Contributing Stats: Wisdom

Mechanics: Increase the user's Wisdom stat by 100 points for the duration of one Wisdom-based technique.

Downfalls: Because the user has to split their concentration momentarily to create a rhythm and recall a trigger, the technique used by this technique has it's over-all damage stat reduced by 50 points.
